About us
Seayoo is the first geographically-aware web site, enabling its members to meet divers and find diving content (equipment, shops, clubs, hotels, diving sites) close to their home or diving location. Members are very welcome to contribute their knowledge and experience, new diving locations, equipment for sale, photos and much more.
The content of the site is authentic as it is created by its members, for its members.
Seayoo was conceived by Michel Braunstein, a passionate diver and underwater photographer. He got the idea after his personal website, was chosen as the best promotion diving website at the Antibes 34th World Festival of Underwater Pictures in 2007.
David Pilosof, the famous veteran underwater photographer and creator of "Samantha", the renowned photo album, is also a partner in the Seayoo concept.
The idea was to allow divers to keep in touch with each other and to meet new diving partners. The site was also set up to promote dive sites, facilities and suppliers to help divers with their travel plans and to give divers a free place to publish their diving articles, photos and videos.

"Les Ingénieurs Sociaux", a French company, has developed the social concept and technological engine behind Seayoo.com. The "Les Ingénieurs Sociaux" hyper-local and geographically-aware social network platform was launched in France as a social network for neighbors (www.peuplade.fr). The new concept of a local-internet is becoming increasingly important as people seek to combine real events, meetings, shops and equipment with a virtual world, and prefer personal contacts with people and professionals.
